Facebook New "Hug" Reaction:


Social Media Giant, Facebook, Inc. adds a new 'hug' reaction to the Like Button, The reaction shows an animated emoji hugging a heart, The reaction has been changed to a pulsating purple heart on Messenger.
Facebook "Hug" reaction- Facebook is adding new Care reactions on its Facebook app and Facebook Messenger as a way for people to;
"Share their support with one another during this unprecedented time"



The reaction shows an animated emoji hugging a heart, meant to help you “show your support” to friends and family during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Probably, most people used the ‘Love’ reaction for similar purposes, but the hug reaction shows a bit more directly that you care about the person rather than the post.
At present, The reaction is not available on the Messenger app though and has been replaced by a purple heart instead.

How to update Facebook "Hug" Reaction?

To update the 'Hug' reaction, just you can simply press and hold down the heart reaction to view the new one. To change it back, press and hold the new Reaction again.

Due to the pandemic, Facebook has seen a significant increase in usage around the globe as many people stay indoors and practice social distancing. Though Facebook usage is up, the company outlined in late March that it’s being negatively affected financially due to the decrease in digital ad spending, 
The “care” reaction to help people show support.

The new heart is rolling out to Messenger starting today, while Facebook’s hug reaction should arrive next week.
